Hello new to the forum lurked along time, lot of very usefull info for a guy living close to ca that needs answers to stay legal when i enter ca.
Anyway i live in reno but have a cabin that i spend every weekend at in ca, i would like to be able to practice for 3 gun on the weekends, I shoot a xdm 5.25 9mm so i took the plunge and ordered a set of the ebr conversion kits. From what i understand this needs to be epoxyed or riveted in place to make it permeant or unable to change without a tool... correct me if im wrong.
I am not concerned about being able to switch it in and out i am going to dedicate a few mags that will be just for ca with this conversion. My main question is are there any people here that have used this conversion.... did you rivet, epoxy or something else. could you give tips for the best most sturdy way for me to go about it.
Ideally i would like to epoxy it to the follower so the mag can be disassembled for cleaning but without it being in my hand im not sure if thats even doable and if it makes it legal or not but ive read some places it needs to be done to the base pad which means once done it will never come apart again. If thats what needs to be done so be it but hoping there is some other clean easy friendly method of doing this, any one that shoots 3 gun or runs there guns hard knows that mags need to be routinely disassembled and cleaned for reliable function.
Anyway thanks for any tips or advise much appriceated.
