    help, deciding on sights....

I need some help deciding on which sights I should put on my p229. It has night sights on it already, but I have some fiber optic sights that I want to try out also. I do mostly day time shooting, which varies from excellent lighting and at worst low level lighting. I've only ever used three dot sights before, so I wanted to see what other shooters prefer.
This handgun is going to be my ccw when I get my permit, so that will play into my needs also. So what says calguns?

Stick with the night sights. I have 3 dots on all of my pistols. If its going to be a carry gun the night sights could save your life one day. Criminals tend to be most active at night so being able to get a good sight picture on a poorly lit street or in a parking garage with bad lighting is very important. Remember Murphy is an ***** hole and he loves putting people in the one situation they aren't prepared for. Whatever you decide on make sure you train with them as much as possible. Once you think you have it down, train some more. When your life is on the line you can't afford to miss.

FO sights are great for the range, not so good for carry. The tubes brake pretty easy. I would stick with what you got for your carry gun. Now if you get another gun that you just plan on using at the range. Get some FO on it, they really do work great.

Kinda off subject but i had the FO front sight break on my gun at the range and i noticed i could see my target through the hole of the front sight and it kinda helped.

Thanks for the replies. I was leaning more to the night sights also, but I guess I'll get another slide and put the FO sights on that. Both sights are sig sights and have the same height measurement. Thanks once again.
