    Wilson Combat Glock Barrel

Does anyone know if Wilson Combat makes these in house or has some other company make it for them?

No rumors or guesses please, seeking solid information.

    Thanks in advance

I'm not sure, but these barrels deliver outstanding 25 yard groups by those who can shoot well.
My opinions are my own and do not represent the position of other companies I may be involved with.

        Thanks for the heads up

The Wilson Combat barrels are rated at 2" @25 yards with good ammo and a good shooter, in my experience the older Glocks range from 3-5" and the newer models slightly better than that. Tigerswan instructors showed a side by side and the difference was noticeable.

Can't tell you for the Glock barrel, but their 1911 barrels are made in-house at Arkansas, per WilsonCombatRep on the 1911 forum.

Fair enough, but to your original post about the "Wilson barrels shooting outstanding 25 yard groups for those that can shoot well" I say the OEM can do great things as well. I don't own a Glock and could never shoot the groups you've mentioned, but in capable hands (defiantly not mine) I have seen stock Glock barrels perform outstanding results.

I've read from a number of places that Jarvis supplies the WC barrels, but a few outliers have claimed its KKM or Storm Lake.

Either way, getting a match barrel can significantly impact your groups.

jeffrice6: you say that the OEM barrel can perform with outstanding results - I agree to a certain extent.

can you post an example of what "outstanding" is in your scenario?

I've owned a dozen Glocks and outside of the newer Gen 4 Glocks with good ammo on a good day have I ever considered them outstanding or less than 3" groups at 25 yards.

I'd like to "see" the comparison as well.
Kind of frustrating when we use vague phrases like "very accurate". Show or tell group size like the above pictures.

                      This this this. 100% this.

I'm on the wait list for a fitted Storm Lake M&P barrel, when I get it you better believe I'll be posting side by side pictures.

I'm also tempted to get a drop-in KKM or Wilson Combat barrel for my Glock...that is, depending on how accurate I am with it out of the box.

Stay tuned for that post later in the month!

                        Fitted barrel = better grouping
Drop in barrel = not any better than stock

Prove me wrong on a ransom rest using the same gun with the same ammo and I'll retract my statement.

Which drop in barrel vs which fitted barrel and by whom?

This is what I am trying to figure out.

I have had good experience with KKM, so if KKM OEM, why pay extra for Wilson name?! If Jarvis or Storm Lake, I will just go with KKM.

I hear the part about fitted vs. drop in, but in my mind its a miniscule difference not worth the extra cost.
