I'm 6 foot 220 lb rugby player, so not skinny but not fat(well a little), I can conceal an XD .40 service at the 8.30 (I'm a lefty so 3.30 to you righties out there) no problem. no printing at all.
I support the NRA, if you are not in, you can't win.

I'll go for Glock 23 or 27 .40 cal and practice regularly

If you carry anything less than .45, you're wrong. If you can't conceal a glock 30 or an xd .45 compact, buy a longer shirt. Don't trust your life with a marginal round like 9mm or .40, just my opinion. Unlees you expect someone to try to run you down with car and need barrier penetration, go with .45, anything less is uncivilized.

Slow caliber from a short barrel... You might have expansion issue with some JHP brands
