    Sig P224 owners?

I'm looking to SSE a P224 DA/SA in .40 and have been reading the horror stories and Brad Gray comments. To be fair, all the negative stuff I found is older and seems centered around a bad batch manufactured around July 2013.

I have heard from one CalGunner who loves his in .357 Sig who also shoots .40 from a conversion barrel. His has been flawless from day one and it has given me hope. His was born at the end of 2013 so maybe Sig has solved the problems.

I'd like to hear from others with personal experience with the P224, hoping to hear some good success stories.

    You mean Bruce Gray?

I've got a 224 in 9 with no issues at all. I've also read that the early 224 issues are fixed for the most part. Just make sure your build date on the side of the box is recent and it isn't an old-stock gun and you'll enjoy it.

I have the P224 SAS in .40 and had to send it back to SIG due to multiple FTF's. They polished the feed ramp, adjusted the extractor and put 20 rds through it without a FTF. Upon getting back I also put 50rds through it without a hiccup.

Before ordering the gun I read up on all the issues it seems that not everyone was experiencing this issue in .40 so I took a chance. Overall, I'm happy with the gun and would keep it for my CCW but I have since been mesmerized with picking up Guncrafter CCO for my CCW instead.

      Best of luck!

FYI the born on date was 10/2013
