Just a regular handgun, my barrel was threaded then I had it de threaded, a flash suppressor fits snugly on the nub. I just wanted to know before I loctite it.

Flash suppressor is okay but IMO you are creating a very dangerous situation by expecting the locktite to hold. You should have kept the threads and pinned or permanent locktite.

The flash suppressor has a screw to tighten it to the barrel. If anything I'll have my buddy put a small weld on it.

Not if you block the mag well and go single shot! A pistol without the capacity to accept a detachable magazine can have a threaded barrel but at that point, gun is pretty much useless.

Only on semi autos handguns with detachable magazines. On all other handguns, threaded barrels are perfectly legal including semi auto handguns with fixed magazines.

Sorry, but what's the point of a flash suppressor on a handgun? Compensator I get ... it helps control recoil. Sound supressor also makes sense, it protects your hearing somewhat. Flash surppressor looks cool I guess BUT then you might run into LEOs that think it's a sound suppressor.

Well the little nub that was threaded has some rifling, I could have either left it alone, looks pretty weird or chopped it off. I guess there really is no point other than the cool looks factor and keeping that extra bit of rifling. I doubt anyone would think a small flash suppressor is an actual noise suppressor, there's a world of difference in looks.
