You and your uncle go to a FFL and complete a Private party transfer, you will need a HSC, a Ca ID and a second form of Gov issues I'd to prove residence , normally a car registration is what most use, it will cost you $35, and youll have a ten day wait, your uncle only needs a CA ID, that is providing you both are Cali residents, also if the mags are over ten rounds, they will need to be blocked to ten rounds prior to the transfer, you can not accept mags over ten rds. You will need a ten rd mag to perform your safety demo when you pick up the gun, you can buy one also.

Your uncle does not need a HSC, only CA ID.

If your unle is a Cali resident, but you can not meet at the same dealer, it can be shipped to your FFL, but then it has to be on he roster. And the fee is what ever the FFL wants to charge. No mags over ten rds.

If your uncle lives in another state, the gun has to be on the roster, it will have to be sent or delivered to your FFL by your uncle, no limit on fee. No mags over ten rds.
