    colt 1903

Anyone else have one of there?

I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I can't wait. I picked it up from Krausworks in San Mateo for $400. I keep seeing someone on gun broker that duracotes these and they look nice but I just can't seem to bring myself to do that to a pistol that was made in 1921. I'm tempted though.

She is pretty - I'd leave it as is too.

Thanks! Yeah I agree. But if you see the other ones you would know how nice they look. Maybe I will just buy another one that's in bad shape and fix it up.

Had one in 32 ACP at one time. Cute little gun. Sold it to a guy in Alaska. Be careful of the firing pin. There is a right and a wrong way to install the back part. It's a two piece and it should move smoothly. The front part is the pin and has a spring around it. The back part of the two piece goes in only one way. Upside down, the back part rubs against the slide cross pin and sticks. So, works smooth, in right; works sticky or stiff, in wrong!

              I own

2 of these. I'd sell mine for $700 for both and they are in better shape. RB

I'm not insulted or anything but what do you mean better shape? There isn't a scratch on this pistol and the finish is almost 100%. The main reason I can't bring myself to paint it is because it is in such great shape. What city are you in? I might be interested in your two. Thanks.
