Doesn't your target II have adjustable sights or did you run out adjustments already?

I highly doubt its the gun. Its probably you. Practice dry firing the gun a few hundred times..it helped me

I bet it's the OP's aim. I would shoot it on a rest if you can.

Just take one shot and then make your point of aim your point of impact from the first shot and your second shot should be dead on or very close to your first shot. Then finely adjust after that.

I have had 3 Kimbers and all three were all properly aimed from the box.

i can understand shooting to the left cuz when it did hit the target they were all left but most of the time the shots were so high that they didn't even hit the target

                    The sights are adjustable.

"Target" models have adjustable sights. Shoot at around 7 yards. If your groups aren't tight, it's your shooting. If it's tight, the gun is accurate (as all kimbers are from the factory) and you can just adjust the rear sight to where you want the bullet to impact.

It very well could be the gun. And price of the gun is not necessarily a guarantee of properly adjusted sights. My Ruger SR9c (low price) was off. My wife's HK P2000 (medium high price) was way off and my Dan Wesson CBOB (high price) was off as well.

Whenever the gun is in question it should be shot from a gun rest and/or shot my someone with known skill to verify the complaint.

I have laserlyte cartridges that are accurate, at least the ones in 45 and 9mm. The one in 380 is off. So that is another way to verify sights at a short range.

Another excellent dry fire technique you can try is balancing a empty case on top of the front sight with the firearm unloaded.
You will be trying to release the hammer by pressing the trigger and not disturbing the empty case.
This is an excellent exercise with 2 persons shooting together.
One of you presents out the firearm to full extension. Start with a supported grip.
The other person will carefully place the empty case with the primer side down on top of the front sight.
As you balance the handgun and the case perched on top of the front sight, press the trigger to the rear and keep the case in place.
This is an excellent exercise for double action only handguns. Really helps you understand the importance of controlling the trigger as you try and not disturb the case.
Focus on how you are moving that trigger to the rear and maintaining a steady hold.
You almost could never do this exercise too much.
To increase difficulty, try shooting hand only, or support hand only trigger manipulations with the balanced case.
For those maybe just set the case on top of the slide to start with. Once you have some control, balance on top of the front sight.
