I was shooting my 60th 40SW round through my Glock at Reeds indoor range, then all the sudden the slide locked and wouldnt go forward anymore. Tried all I could to get the slide forward, but it feels like it was "grinding" agianst something.
I asked for the rangemaster to take a look at it, he fondled with it a bit confused, then brought it inside for another employee to look at.
I finally took my hand and whacked the slide forward a few times until I heard something "crack" then only then was the slide able to fully close.
I took the slide off and this was what I found.

The employee told me the night sight screw worked off loose from the recoil and was now rubbing hard agianst the barrel. and that was the "grinding" I heard, and the reason the slide wouldnt close, and when I wacked it, the stress was too much for the screw and it sheared off.
He told me that was the strangest thing he ever seen, and I should of loctited it.
The area where the loose screw night sight screw was rubbing agianst the barrel and broke off.

Sucks, now that I have to find a replacement
