    Desert Eagle conversion .44 to .357 legal?

    I was looking at purchasing a Desert Eagle in the near future. I was wondering if it is legal in California to convert it to a .357 or a .50AE with the conversion kits they sell online.

      buy the california rostered desert eagle 44 magnum. buy a 50 ae barrel at the same time. all legal.

          The MK XIX can be changed to 357 or 50.

          I don't believe the older MK VII could be changed to 50 but was available in 357 and 44.

              Legal to convert any way you want.

              Just keep in mind that 50AE and 44M use the same bolt (50AE and 44M have exactly the same rim diameter because 44M is rimmed), while .357M uses a smaller bolt. This is in addition to having to have different barrel and magazines.
