586-7 Smith & Wesson Limited Edition

[FCinCA]

Hey fellas,

Please help me out with info on the S&W 586-7's. I saw one at a local store on consignment. It had nice wood grips with the S&W medallion on it and it was a good looking. I was told that these were produced in limited numbers in 04. Anyone with more information? What is the collector value?

There are still a few places that have them new, I don't think it is collectors item yet since there are so many nice 586's without the lock and MIM parts to be found. If you want a collectible 586, you need to look at a 586, -1, -2, maybe -3 but nothing newer than a -4
