need help mp shield or xds in 9mm

Okay my 1 in 30 days is up next week, I am thinking mp shield 9mm or xds 9mm.
the xds is $100 more than the shield. I already have a g27, xd9sc and cw9.
I always wanted the xds but the shield has some great reviews, What would you guys get. Thanks

I have both Shield 9mm and XDS 4.0 9mm. I would prefer the XDS - feels a lot better to me (you can adjust the backstrap a bit) + I like the trigger better (more distinct reset on my XDS than the Shield)

The Shield is a bit snappier compared to my XDS (but probably because of the 4" barrel). I give the Shield an edge when it comes to thinness. Both are great, but if i had to choose, I'd pick the XDS.

Given what you already have I probably would get something besides those two.

But here's a good comparison between the two. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=923425

The choice is entirely a personal one and comes down to what fits your hands best, and what trigger works best for you and which will be more comfortable/concealable for you to CCW.

Having owned a 9mm Shield and shot a friend's XDs 9mm, if I had to choose between the two I'd get the XDs as my carry gun.

OP - get whatever you feel will work best for you, and whatever best fits your budget.

I chose the XDs because I prefer the way the trigger feels and resets. I love the way it shoots, I have put 6 different PD loads through it with no problems.

If I could actually get my hands on an XDS here in San Diego, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Not shot either, but handled both. Shield locally and XDS at Shot Show. Waiting on the local SSE hot spot to get the parts, because I'm not driving to (or past) LA and back twice for it.

I didn't like the feel of the Shield. Felt cheap and rattly. I'm sure its fine, but I just didn't like my arbitrary superficial "feel" test. I own two other Springfields (XD45 and XDM 9) and love them. So it makes sense that I instantly fell in love with the XDS.

I have both, only had the shield for a few days, but if i had to choose one, I'd take the shield. Mainly because I feel like the shield with 8 round mag fits my hand perfect. With the xds my pinky doesn't touch the 7 round mag at all. And the 9 round mag changes the feel of the gun too much. The 7 round mag with the pearce grip is the best set up for me with the xds, but I'd have one less round than the shield to achieve the same feel in hand.

Of the two I prefer the XDs, I like the trigger better. I haven't shot many guns from the m&p line but I've had great reliability from my XD pistols.
