30 day gun law

Can someone help me understand exactly what this law means...I purchased a handgun on July 25th, paid for it and drossed it on the same day, and then picked it up on August 5th. When does my 30 day waiting period begin? Does it start on July 25th or Aug. 5th? Thanks in advance and your input is greatly appreciated.

Also keep in mind the 1 in 30 does not apply to private party transactions or consignment handguns.
If you buy within Los Angeles City limits they do have an ordinance that no matter what kind of handgun transaction in their city limits it's 1 in 30.

supposed to be. Some gun stores will make you do the 30 day wait from when you picked up the pistol.

let's say I bought a gun from gunbroker and had it transferred to my FFL, Is that subject to a 30 day wait for my next handgun? or is it the same as a ppt?

Was the seller a CA resident and physically present when you performed the transfer?

If not, then no, it's not a ppt.

Subject to the 30 days as it was not a private party/consignment transfer.
