Sig P220 "G" model vs CA model?

Does anyone know the differences between model numbers of a sig p220?

    Specifically between 220R-45-BSS-G and 220R-45-BSS-CA

Can a CA dealer only sell a sig with the "CA" designation in the model number?

Reason I ask is because an FFL that deals primarily in LE sales told me that they can only sell the 220R-45-BSS-G to LE. They even said that the new p220's that are Ca approved are being shipped with mag disconnects and LCI's. ( I'm almost positive that this is false). The roster does not specify which p220r model number is CA approved.

I'm mainly wondering what the differences is between the two model numbers I posted above. I know one of them is the "government" model but is there any real difference between the "G" model p220's and the "CA" models that would make it not eligible for sale in CA?

If it is a 'new' model variant - introduced into market past 2006-2008 - and does not hae an LCI+mag disco then it is not a Rostered entity, cannot be transferred to you under normal sale [other than SSE/PPT/LEO etc.] Roster name games for these newer guns do not override the SB489 requirement to have these features.

The transfer might be defendable under 'confusion' & 'clarify' basis at best, but SB489 law is specific.

I'm sure that the p220 has been on the roster prior to 2006. I'm just confused as to what makes the "g" model different from the ca model that makes it off roster or not CA approved. Is this a different model p220? Again the CA roster only specifies the make, model, caliber, color, and barrel length for the p220 full size. It is very veg.

There is nothing different in the specs, if you look at Sigs link for Ca compliant.
I'm not sure where you got the G from on the model number or what it stands for? Sigs website doesn't show the G listed on any of there 220 model numbers, but there website never gets updated.

G was for Government - shipped with three magazines instead of the normal 2
