You already did... kinda.
All you need to know is under the crane.
It's a 686 no dash CS-1 made in 1988. Generally speaking there aren't a whole lot of really "collectible" stainless revolvers. The CS-1 686 is an exception.
The M stamp means it's had a hammer nose bushing mod done at the factory. 686 & 686-1 had a recall due to some of them having excessive clearance around the firing pin which could let the primer flow into the hole & lock up the cylinder.
It's an L frame. The bull barrel makes the frame look smaller I guess.
I'm guessing it also has a custom .38 SP cylinder. It's thought that the "jump" from a .38 round in a .357 cylinder degrades accuracy. I would also guess the cylinder throats would be dead nuts uniform with that degree of customization.
