    Glock Nation: Glock 29

    Good Evening Glocksters !

I finally got my hands on some 230 grain Buffalo Bore in 10 mm tonight. Shot it out of my G29 and it was a .... rush. Awesome ! One of our fellow Calgunners that I shoot with said it was exponentially louder than the Fed 40SW but I was in the zone and I really didn't notice.

Powerful stuff..... If you haven't shot it already then I wholeheartedly recommend it.

    Cordially,

    RBA

How did your G29 like the 230gr load. I remember watching a Hickok45 vid on Youtube where he mentioned something about the bullet not being able to stabilize in a Glock 20 barrel, interested to know if you noticed any keyholing on your target and how the accuracy was compared to standard 10mm target ammo.

I run the 200grain double tap out of my G20. I saw a hickok45 video where he was having trouble with the 230g out of a stock barrel. You have any accuracy issues?

Are you running the stock barrel or an aftermarket barrel (if so, what)?

Also, what Gen is your G29?

            TIA

              Hello Drifter2Be and KidRR,

I cannot give an account of accuracy. I ran the G17, MP9, and HK USP40 on the same 2 paper targets since we got to the range just before closing. But, the 230 grain Buffalo Bore ran like a charm. No issues. I'm of stout build though and was more than ready to shoot it. I would venture that Glock owners who like the Sub Compact models and want to shoot big bore calibers will probably enjoy it.

Reliability, not an issue at all. Accuracy is obviously important but at this juncture... I would say it's more about the shooter than the gun, all things equal.

Tell you what though, one of the range employees who runs a Colt Delta Elite said the " house " reloads / standard target ammo at this particular range in 10 mm left a lot to be desired.

Ultimately, the G29 is a hunting sidearm for me. At least until that point in time when I have achieved accuracy with 230 grain loads. Yeah, I am elated at the moment but I'll come back down to earth and plan out my next move.

Both of you guys are more than welcome to add me on this sight and keep tabs on mutual progress with this caliber.

              RBA

ps. I used the stock G29 barrel.

Yeah I've been wanting one for some time now damn ammo being hard to find and more expensive to shoot put me in a debate on what to get and I ended up with a G17.. but my next purchase is a G29 indeed.
