    Hello All, First Handgun

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and was made aware of it by my friend who some of you guys might know (Bobula). Anyways I just purchased my first handgun (and my first gun for that matter) over at Stockton Gun Exchange, who were very awesome and informative. So I am picking up a Dan Wesson .357 revolver (i believe it is a model 15, the common one but i am not sure) with one additional shroud, one speed loader, 3 grips in total, and the tool for the gun and manual for $550 (including all the fees for just the gun). So now i have to wait for next Sunday to pick it up and the wait is killing me lol. Anyways here are some pics:

I will post some better pics and give my humble opinion when i get the chance to take her out to the range.

      Welcome.

I've got one too with an extra 8 inch barrel and shroud. Need to clean up the action once I figure how to take the gun apart. I don't have any of the tools or extra grips though.

Welcome - Those DWs are nice. The wait doesn't even bother me anymore, I just look at it as a fiiting and I'll pick it up in 10. Have fun and what's your next purchase?

Good choice, DW is an excellent gun, and .357/.38 is one of my favorite flavors.

Welcome on.. I got my first this year, and those waits suck I know...

Go to the range and rent some guns and shoot em in the mean time, it will help keep your time occupied.

thx for the welcome guys, really glad there is much support!! very awesome. I am going to be content with this one for awhile, and i am glad to hear that you guys approve of this gun. I was looking for getting a taurus tracker, i am glad i didn't. My next gun will probably be either a 30-06 for hunting, and maybe sometime in the future a kimber custom II. But for now i am will be loving my DW.

                            nice

you can take it apart w/ this tool (which is suppose to come w/ the gun):

since you don't have one i believe you can get it from CZ, just look on their website for the contact info and you will have to email them for pricing. I believe it is:

"For parts and service inquiries please call Dan Wesson manufacturing facility at 607-336-1174, fax them your request at 607-336-2730 or e-mail them at genny@cz-usa.com" - http://www.danwessonfirearms.com/pro...dan_wesson.php

if you want to know how to take it a part, look here: http://www.notpurfect.com/main/dwrev.htm

I was luckly to have the ppl at Stockton Gun Exchange show me how to do it, which was very cool, and very simple surprisingly
