To me, all plastic guns are ugly so the LCI doesn't make it much uglier. This will be my primary CCW pistol, I could care less how it looks. Functional and reliable are beautiful.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

I wonder it the front edge of the LCI would hang up on re-holstering (yes, I know it has a front sight) and if sanding/grinding down the sharp front edge would damage the function of the gun.==================

I have 2 pistols with LCI, wife has 1, never ever ever had a hangup of the LCI.
- I was wrong on my orientation -
I think this is a total non issue.Last edited by glock_this; 04-11-2014, 11:54 AM.10 +1 in the chamberComment

The pic shows the high end pointing towards the muzzle, this is why I asked, but I suppose that the front sight channel would provide enough space as long as your don't tilt it I guess. Just wondering.I have 2 pistols with LCI, wife has 1, never ever ever had a hangup of the LCI.
Plus, in reholster, the LCI is ramped low to high (muzzle to breach) so pushing it down into a holster, I see no way it could catch as there is nothing to catch on. Maybe, if you had some odd holster it could catch if pulling the weapon out since in that situation, the taller end of the ramped up LCI is up and in a position to catch I suppose.

You are 100% right, I was wrong. I didn't even look at the picture, was just going on memory - which was faulty clearly. My bad. I just pulled out my other pistols with LCI and both are in the orientation shown.
That being said, I still have never, ever seen or had an issue of it catching. I believe on most all holsters, you have enough of a front site channel that it accounts for the height of the LCI so still a non issue.10 +1 in the chamberComment

For those who are just too offended by the LCI to even look at it, why not just grind off the nub that touches the cartridge? You'll never have to look at the orange flag again. Or just live with it. I wasn't too keen on the LCI on my LC9, but you never see it when you're actually firing the thing and I've completely forgotten about it already. Now I spend my 2 minutes hate brewing over the mag disconnect instead!Comment

What other websites have had them in stock besides KYGUNCOComment

Obviously you'd be altering the gun from the CADOJ approved form. Even only in appearance, you want to be the one to argue with CADOJ that it hasn't been altered from approved form?
Live with it. If it bothers you that much spend a little more for the non-CA version.Comment
