    CZ p07 vs Sig SP2022 9mm

Looking at these two to put on my CCW. I like that they are both DA/SA and have decockers and no external safety lever/switch. Though the CZ can be converted to safety only.

The Sig with night sights will run about $100 cheaper than the CZ so not a big difference. Neither are really ideal for CCW so I picked up a Shield but also want one of these anyways. The CZ seems to be the natural choice as its trigger is supposedly better(crisper, shorter reset) and even if it's not it can be improved upon with CGW parts. Sig has no trigger mods that I've seen.

Any opinions regarding the two? Anyone have or shot both and can draw a comparison between them?

For me, the P07 was wayyy to thick for CCW. I havent shot one, the trigger felt nice though.

I have a 2022 in 40. Its one of my favorites. The trigger works good for me.

I've shot the p07 duty and sp2022 both in 9mm. The old p07 trigger wasn't that great and I preferred the 2022 though that gun had a few thousand rounds down it in comparison to the couple hundred in the CZ. I also really hated the curve of that p07 trigger as well.

CZ had less recoil and muzzle flip so rapid succession shots had better grouping. The Sig had the night sights on it and was better than the stock p07 sights. But the sig with it's combat sights and zeroed in at 25yds(or is it meters) usually had the effect that shots were quite low at 7, 10 and 15yds. You'd have to aim quite a bit above POI to achieve desired results. Overall both felt good when shooting.

Sig has much better button layout. Easier to decock. You're less likely to ride the slide release. Mag release was easier to press though not accidentally.

As bdock mentioned the CZ is fairly thick and might not be as easily concealed. Guess you got the Shield for that though.

All said, I would probably opt for the new p07. Primarily because of the revised trigger group and aftermarket support to improve it even further. I also feel it sits in the hand and aims a little better than the sig.
