    Dros a trade?

Hey guys i might be trading a SA 1911 for a Glock and the trade is out of state. I got quoted 100 bucks to do the dros, shipping etc.

The trade is for my 1911 here in CA for a Glock in Alabama. We are going to do a trade.

    Is that a fair amount?

Does any one know of any other people who dros guns etc for a fair price?

    Thanks and Be Safe

If your 1911 is valued at around $500 then its a fair trade.

$100 seems a little on the expensive side for the transfer. I bet someone in your area knows of someone a little more reasonable.. maybe $60-$75ish?

That's a bit high. Glocks are fairly common. I recommend doing a FTF trade from someone in state. Or sell you 1911 and buy a used Glock. That way you will be only charged PPT fees + DROS. The DROS fee is fixed. Dealers tag on additional fees for non PPT.

Which Glock is it? And don't forget to get it with the low cap mags.

I just got off the phone with another FFl and got quoted 160.00 dollars!

          Dam!

It is just a Glock 22.

            Keep calling around.

When I bought my G35, I had contacted almost 12 FFL dealers until I found one that'll do it all for $65.

Too bad he gave up his license.

I'm sure there's someone in the LA area with a Glock22 they'll trade you.

It will save on shipping and FFL fees, because local face to face fees cannot exceed $35.
