Im matching what shes asking for it as she just wants to get rid of it. It does have a pretty heavy trigger pull and I DO happen to have big hands but I look forward to shooting it

I sold my 1972 vintage PPK/S a couple of years ago and immediately regretted it. It was a fun shooter and very reliable but the slide will bite you if you're not gripping it properly.Comment

Apologies, Trip. In Skyfall, you are correct. Bond was indeed armed with a .380 Walther PPK/s before losing it in Macau. However, in almost all of the books and movies his Walther was a PPK chambered in .32 ACP. It was introduced to him by Q Branch at the beginning of the film Dr. No.Listen to q, in his explanation
Skyfall: Quoting Q; The Walther PPK/S nine-millimeter short. It's been coded to your palmprint so only you can fire it.
its in at least one previous I'm sure
Oh man, don't make me watch all those again
edit: PPK is his issued sidearm in a number of the bond series, not sure of the caliber of them, but not the ppk/s, only skyfall has the ppk/s (i think)

YouTube clip of Dr. No - Bond reluctantly gives up his .25 ACP Beretta for the 7.65mm (.32 ACP) Walther. The switch happens at 1:20. Enjoy!

Ian Fleming's James Bond was forced to upgrade to the .32 acp (as he did in the movies starring Sean Connery). Sometime @ Roger Moore, the film malers made an effort to change calibers of hs Walther to .380, iirc.sigpicComment

Walther PPk and PPs have been made for a long time in various calibers and some can command very high prices - prewar, Nazi, etc. If yours is the average "Interarms" blued PPks my guess is it can go anywhere from $250.00 to about $500.00 depending on condition, with or without box and state (as in, in CA or outside) and how much of a "friend discount" one gets. I bought mine for about $300.00 a few years back when the Sacramento Armoury was closing down. It's in new shape.
Manhurin made Walthers PP and PPk are C & R eligible. So if you can't get the PPks (which is not C & R eligible yet) there are others available.Last edited by dfletcher; 04-08-2014, 1:28 PM.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment
