Good purchase. One thing that surprised me was how accurate the 30 is.

I like the 30. A bit fat but a great gun. I would get some night sights and a bunch of federal hst ammo then go shoot it a lot. Then practice your draws a lot from a good holster (no floppy uncle mikes) Thats all a glock needs beside some good 10-8 sights or trijicon hd's. Some folks like big dot sights too.

Yeah I can't wait. Do most of you guys always leave one in the chamber?

I like the pierce extensions as well. Also a good holster if you plan to carry. It's a wide little guy on the hip. I love the way it fits my hand, but it's a wide sucker if you want to ccw. Probably my favorite gun for what it is, I still can't believe it holds 10rds of .45acp in it.

Hatersloveme pretty much nailed it on accessories, your intended use for the pistol will dictate the accessories.

If I ccw it will have one in the chamber, absolutely. At home in the safe or a drawer, no, I personally do not.

Guy at the OC gun show had some last time I went. Not sure if the same vendor will be at Ventura, but look for "Hard To Find Mags" or something similar, based out of AZ. He's the one with tons of tables with nothing but bins of mags covered with plastic sheeting.

Yes. To carry unloaded would imply you have training issues. A gun in a holster needs no safety. That is the safety. you will never be able to plan how an attack will unfold. To even think you will have anything more than the slightest fraction of a second to prepare would be foolish. You might not even have both hands to use. Always carry. Always carry loaded.

                        Buy ammo
                        ALWAYS 1 in the chamber
I personally prefer the ghost 3.5 connectors in my Glocks, and I know that usually gets everybody worried about legality of tigger pull but to me improves the tools function

I had such high hopes this wasn't going to be "one of those threads" you've become infamous for SoCal, but then you go and make into one. tisk tisk.

Anyways, congrats on the new pistol. I am looking into a G30s myself.

Congrats, trying to decide between a 30s or 30 gen4 myself for concealed carry. Would definitely get rid of those sights. I like the Trigicon HDs

Why would this differ when its at home? Because you have more time to rack the slide?
