CZ handguns are pretty popular here in the handgun forum... Well, CZ's also produces some outstanding .22LR rifles as well.
No experience with the new 455, but both the 452 American and 453 Varmint display excellent accuracy and outstanding workmanship.... at half your budget.

As you can see here the Varmint has a slightly longer LOP, due to the position of it's single-set trigger.

Second the Cz rifle recommendation. We have a 452 varmint and it is a tack driver. Bought that instead of the similar Savage and couldn't be more pleaded. Savage seems to get good reviews also.
