    Springfield customer service

So I had a little problem with my 1911 a few weeks ago:

Dropped it off at a local FedEx shipping center and it was back in my hands in 10 days. New slide, obviously, spring and guide rod, and a few other screws etc. Easiest thing I've done in a long time. I was on the phone for less than 5 minutes the first time I called in. Always good to deal with a business that has actual customer service.

That's why I am such a Springfield fan. Every time I have done business with them, they have been outstanding.

The last time I called them was to check on an order of magazines for my XD45, they had been in a processing state for a few weeks. The rep I spoke with asked why I was in such a hurry for them. When I told her that i need them for a training class in a couple weeks, she put a rush on the order and sent them expedited and then called me to make sure that I did get them in time for my class - that's customer service.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" [Matt 28:19]

Problem is they should be good to go from the factory. Not in my experience. Good guns I guess, just won't buy another.

SA has great customer service. Speaking of mags, I sent in an M&P9 mag to S&W for a replacement almost an entire year ago now and still haven't gotten it. This reminds me to give them another call.

Every gun manufacturer has bad days and bad batches. Springfield is no different on that. However, their CS is just legendary in the industry. They really stand for their guns.

a known history and reputation for good customer service from a manufacturer goes a long way with me, whether i'd likely need to use it or not.
