    MK25 in .357 SIG

I purchased a MK25 P226 but in California configuration love the gun, hate the markings on the slide and the LCI but can live w/ the mag disconnect. I've recently discovered the SSE process and i'm going to purchase a non mutilated MK25 but I'm now left with a dilemma...what to do with my CA MK25?

I did some research on the forum and read some very favorable impressions on the .40/.357 slide/barrel/spring conversion. I ordered the parts from http://shop.sigsauerguns.com/ along with an SRT kit. I plan on converting from 9mm to .357 SIG.

I've read that .357 SIG is harder to find/more expensive but that the shooting experience is better than the .40 S&W.

I'd like to know if any calgunners recommend an engraver in SoCal. I'd like to engrave an EGA (Eagle Globe and Anchor) on the slide instead of the anchor that comes with the MK25...served in the Corps from 98-03. I'd also like the UID sticker engraved as well...similar to this

Thanks in advance to any and all help

P.S. any ideas on where I can go to get my CA MK25 slide "fixed" ex. LCI removed and California "tagging" removed from the top of the slide?

why not just trade the MK25 CA for a .40 cal P226 (with .357 sig drop in barrel)? Or sell and buy one.

I thought about it...I don't like selling my guns and it seems like most people, including myself, want the MK25 minus the evil California features.

In the end I just pony'd up some cash and bought the conversion...for about $500 bucks i'll be able to go from 9mm, 40S&W, and .357 SIG.

Did you buy an exchange kit? Make sure they send you the 10 round mag instead of the 12 round that is included in the kit.

They have a CA compliant kit, with a 10 round mag

That is plan B...wanted to see if there was a local business in LA county/SoCal that someone recommends.

Give Sureshot precision a call, they do great work.

I believe they just moved to Simi Valley.

So I received the .40 caliber conversion kit...while I had things out I installed some Hogue G10 checkered grips, SRT kit, .357 SIG barrel.

I can't wait to go try it out tonight at the LA Gun Club. Engraving will be next week or so.
