Once again, in my continuing effort to provide non-Glock, non AR15 threads, allow me to introduce the newest addition to my collection. If you were following my thread (what's left of my collection" http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=912510, you will know that I had to sell off some of my babies to fund my recent move.
In an effort to get back up to speed I have been haunting local gun stores and auction sites. I have a weakness for the big Smiths and have been looking for a Model 27 for a while. I walked into a store on the other side of town and there in the used gun case was this 27-2. I don't think it could have had more than a cylinder of rounds through it as it has no turn ring and is easily in 99+% condition.
The rest as they say is history, it came home with me and boy am I happy.
Now it looks as though I am going to have to take new family photo.
