    GLOCK Comp barrel?

Does someone make a GLOCK barrel that extends out past the slide and has a comp on it -- like this gun?

...ummm...a solution to a problem that does not exist.

Yes, KKM makes one, Match Grad 4-port comped barrel, page 155 of Brownells Cat. 61 has alot of comped glock barrels displayed.

Click on the link and think of the possibilities, i.e., have an unported hybricomp barrel with a compensator for extra mass.

On a 1911 the barrel comes out the front of the slide for cleaning. So how do you remove the barrel from a glock if the comp is permanently attached. If the barrel is threaded you have an assault pistol if you can just unscrew the comp.

Lone Wolf also makes an "external" comp for Glocks.

Some of them are one-piece, and some have a thing you mount to the tip after the barrel is in place. Those are more of a hassle. The replacement barrel is extended and threaded, and the comp screws onto it after you have the gun together.

By the time I'm done boosting up the powder charge to make everything cycle reliably with the comp, I'm back at the very recoil I was trying to avoid, so I'm not convinced it's a win.

Expect to replace the springs, of course.. these will rob recoil (as designed).

Fun stuff to play with, but it seems more suited to high-pressure rounds.

The G34 is an interesting case because the comp barrel can be internal, using the stock slide cutout. Of course, it will smoke up your front sight in no time..
