S&W Model 27

I currently own a 686-5 4" and love the look of the classic Model 27. However, I don't see it on the DOJ's approved list. Anyone else wondering or anyone know if Smith & Wesson plan to add the model 27 to the list? I see the model 29 there so I'm hoping the 27 will make the list soon.

I have understood from folks who went to the SHOT 2008 show that S&W will be submitting the 27's to California for testing. It's not meant to be a special run like the Registered Magnums (Reregistered Magnums?) -- it's going to be a regular production item for a while I hope.

That's great to hear. If and when the 27 gets on the list, I'll be paying my local friendly gun store to get one. I love the way my 686-5 shoot and I love the looks of the classic series.
