    9mm fired in????

I was at the U.S.I. range a few Saturdays ago and while shagging my brass, I came across a number(4) of 9mm shells that had been fired in a .40 caliber, or .357 Sig gun. Pretty scary!!! Please pay attention if bringing noobs with you!!!

38 Super in 40 is also possible. I've seen 9mm brass like that too.

Definitely pay attention when bringing newbees shooting. The dangerous ones are the peeps that act like they know a lot about guns and don't listen to instructions. The most dangerous caliber combo when bringing newbees shooting is 12 and 20 gauge.

The last range I was at the range master gave me a 7.62 round that someone had just left at another station. That was nice but I was shooting a .223 VEPR so I don't think that would have worked well.

I was at the range with a fellow who was trying out his new 454 Casull revolver---he stated that the gun had almost no recoil and a mild report. Well, I'm very familiar with 454 revolvers (own two and a 454 rifle) and I said not possible! I watched him fire off a round and sure enough, almost no recoil. I asked to see the factory ammo he was shooting---turned out it was 44 mag! So the bullet was just bouncing down the barrel under very low pressure (he was having trouble hitting the target).
No harm to his gun (Ruger Super Redhawk) so nether he or his gun was damaged.
I did find a few factory 454 rounds in my range bag and offered to let him touch-off a few---totally different story now!
Pay attenion to what ammo you put in your gun...

I've underestimated the stupidity of people,
I had to delete the previous thing I typed and re think my question of " are people really this dumb?"

I think the most surprising part is you found FOUR of them.
