    10 Day Wait Question

Hello fellow CalGunners, one of my friends decided to purchase an M&P 9mm on Friday and it's being held at an FFL which so happens to be a shooting range as well. Is it possible for him to go and shoot at the range with the gun still being held by the FFL? It seems a bit of a grey area since he would be shooting it at the range, and then after he is done he can just turn it back in.

You have to check with the range some of them allow this.

Oaktree gun club in new hall does that. Depends on the range/ffl and if they're OK with it.

I believe I've read about some gun shops/shooting ranges allowing this. But logically I think your buddy might be taking a risk being that if he ends up being denied then he will be SOL and will likely incur a HEAVY refund fee since they will be forced to sell off the "used" gun.

Thank you for the insight, I probably should have mentioned he was doing a PPT on a used gun. Thank you all for the responses!

Oaktree allows conjugal visits. They hold your ID in return.

Yes, but they also try to sell you a "smart gun" while you're there....

Last time I bought a gun at OC range they let me have a conjugal visit after 5 days in jail.

Not true, but I know you're just being facetious...

If your firearm is fully paid for, they'll let you shoot it on their range at any time during the 10 day wait. If not paid in full yet, then no.
