    Fair trades for a Kimber .22 conversion kit?

    I'm getting the itch for something new and, before I post an ad, I wanted to get the community's opinion on what I can ask for as far as fair trade offers.

    I have a Kimber .22 conversion kit for a 1911. It's been sitting in the safe for over a year. I fitted it, fired 50 test rounds, cleaned it and put it back in the safe. It hasn't seen daylight since.

    What do you think is a reasonable ask in trade for this kit? It's just the original kit with one mag.

    I'm looking for other .22 pistols, but doesn't have to be 1911 platform. Am I looking at a Sig Mosquito as my only option?

    I've also wanted a revolver in .38/.357 ever since I sold my 686. Can anyone think of revolvers in this trade range?

      In the last year, I've bought two pre owned Kimber .22lr conversion kits with two magazines each from the marketplace here. IIRC, I paid $250 and $210 SHIPPED for them.

          Those kits are about $280-$300 new so I would think $220 is decent, $200 is good and below $200 people would jump on it.

              So at this point, i'm really looking at used 22/45s and other conversion kits? I'm not even sure I could buy a Taurus revolver for $250.

                  You might get lucky and find a 22-45 or other Ruger .22 for a straight across trade. You should be able to find a Heritage Arms .22 revolver though.

                      Better of just selling it and putting cash towards something higher in price. Conversion isn't a firearm, just parts, so no paperwork.

                              Appreciate the input, guys. Looks like I'll be listing it for cash sale soon. Just need to get off my butt and take a pic. Because, we all know people are going to ask for pics whether they're buying or not!

                                  you probably will get more response selling it for $ but might as well include trade options in the ad, you never know what interesting offers might pop up
