Craigslist is full of scammers. Best bet is to meet FTF. I will never send money to anyone on craigslist (or armslist) since there is no feedback or accountability system in place.

And the ones that claim to get criminal histories don't pull nothing from California. I've checked that myself against a few friends who have minor convictions and they all came back clean. Concord and San Ramon are hardly in the Bay Area. Richmond on down to East San Jose, is one big ghetto. Oakland is a freakin war zone. Every night there is shocking news story after shocking news story about that side of the Bay. Here's a recent Craigslist ftf transaction that made the news. A 19yr old male went to do a ftf transaction to purchase an a Iphone 5s in Pacoima. His father and girlfriend went along and waited in the car while he went to do his transaction. Once he saw it wasn't even the phone that was advertised and refused to pay the perp tried to grab the cash from him and a scuffle started while leaving the perp's car they were doing the transaction in. While escaping to his father's car the perp whistled and three of thug friends came out and started shooting at him. He took one in the upper right of his back but escaped into his families car. From there they took him straight to the hospital and is in stable condition.
To me if I found out it was in Pacoima, a "Gangland" area, I would have passed. Always meet in a public place. If something feels wrong in your gut then it probably is.Last edited by CAGLS; 03-20-2014, 1:28 PM.Comment
