I got Alien Gear for my P220. It was very nice, but it is a huge pistol and I never got the chance to really use it due to California illegal laws. I'm thinking about getting another for a Walther PPS when I go to Colorado, but not closed minded.

There's not much out there that's better than a Crossbreed although there are tons of clones now, some to be had for half the price. If you go with the Crossbreed, consider splurging for horsehide. It's definitely worth the extra money over cowhide (I have one of each).

I also have had good luck with Old Faithful holsters purchased off their eBay store. Good quality and cheap, but the Crossbreed belt clips are much better.

Try Jeremiah Holsters from this thread:

20% off for us Calgunners with coupon code. Got an IWB horsehide for my Shield and IWB horsehide double mag carrier for about $50.

I prefer leather- I carry EMP in a Milt Sparks VersaMax II - very comfortable!

Check out White Hat Holsters. They have a variety of IWB holsters. Similar to Crossbreed, but their kydex is interchangeable. Customer service is top notch. I wear one everyday and not know it's there until it's needed.

How does the gun typically stay secured in the holster on say the Miltsparks versamax and the crossbreed. is it just a snug fit? Is there a "thumb break" type thing?

My wife selected a black DeSantis with the simple clip on the side for P239. Just meant for covering the trigger in a purse. We may use a seam ripper to take off the clip.

Yes its snug from the tension of the holster - nothing needed to keep in in. With case of VMII they form the holster in the shape of the particular gun you have so the fit is good. They usually come a bit snug and there are a few techniques to get them to loosen up a little, you just don't want them too loose.

^^ Is that the versamaxII? Looks nice, for the price (and the leadtime), I would imagine she is damn comfy too?

I like the look of leather over the Kydex but the Kydex looks slimmer..

Highly recommend the Milt Sparks VM2 http://www.miltsparks.com/ ... see below for my Sig P226 & P220 in them. Also recommend Nightingale http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc...5/m/9140034982 Tell Kevin ruddogg recommended you. Faster turnaround than Milt Sparks, but quality prob 1 small step below Milt Sparks. Milt Sparks is kinda the gold standard if you can wait the 10-16 weeks.

Sig P220 Carry Elite SAO in Milt Sparks VM2 (for Sig P229)

HK45 in Nightingale Griffon & Walther PPQ in Nightingale Raptor
