    Magazines?

So, first time handgun buyer, started looking for some spare mags for my new Sig SP2022. The prices shocked me to say the least, as I'm a budget shooter (by circumstance, not by choice).

Can anyone point me to where I can find some used/inexpensive mags? (that isn't the marketplace, I keep checking there)
Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

the accepted going price for most mags are about $30-40. with that said, which price shocked you?

also, since you are a first time buyer, you will learn that you dont want to skimp and go "cheap" on mags. get factory, avoid 3rd party for "serious" mags. the large majority of time, gun cycling problems are due to mags; so you'll want to minimize that risk as much as possible.

I assume you are looking for 9mm mags? I know how hard they are to find, and expensive. People say you can run the .357/.40 mags, I tried and it didn't work at all, you may have better luck.

MidwayUSA has some, and they have a special going on which could potentially pay for shipping if you buy enough

Be glad you're not buying H&K magazines. Those can go for $60+.

Seconded. There are a few smart ways to pinch pennies as a shooter. Cheap aftermarket mags are not one of them. Better to have three reliable mags then to have a dozen unreliable ones.

FYI, If you just want some cheap mags for the range, there is a way to modify/file the mag catch slot on Beretta M9/92 mags (which can be had for $10-15ea) to work with the 2022.

                    Youtube: "modify beretta mags 2022"

Another tip, 2022 40cal mags hold and feed 9mm rounds flawlessly.

                      I bought 2 factory 9mm mags for my Sp2022 for $42 each.
There wasn't much left from $100 after shipping.
They took 2.5 months to get from Sig.

There is a guy selling them on the marketplace here. Just ordered two from him. 70 shipped. pretty good prices.

I paypaled him this morning and they are on the way already.
