    Most underrated handgun?

I was shooting yesterday and while I'm always always happy shooting my Glocks and 1911's, I found myself migrating to my FNP 9mm and I'm always impressed by its overall quality and fun factor. I'd have to say the FNP line (may it RIP) has to be one of the most under rated pistols (most underrated in my stable anyway) out there. We're always discussing our Glocks, 1911's, and we always hear from the CZ fan club. Anyone have other handguns that we hardly ever discuss that are winners?

I shot a friends Kahr CW9, and REALLY liked it.
I have considered buying a FNP a few times, but always end up just getting another M&P or XDM. The FNP seems like a sweet gun, but they're just not comfortable in my hand for some reason.

WWII era Mauser HSc. Very technologically advanced for the time--still a formidable carry piece today.

The Steyr M9 is very much an under rated pistol because not many people know about them.

I haven't found a sweeter piece than my Sig P228 9mm. I own several brands and have shot several more, but after 4-5k rounds my sig is an extension of my body.

                  .44 Automag, the early ones.

Giant 1970s codpiece from hell. Only every seen two, and I loved them both dearly. Wish they could be found easier, and CA born to boot! They're what would happen if Dirty Harry and James Bond designed a gun together.

So I was driving home from the range and I noticed that the scent of warm steel, burnt gunpowder and lukewarm coffee combined and smelled oddly of... Peanut butter?! Man, the Hoppe's is going to my head.

I know! Great stage presence. They do look... Unusual. Very streamlined.

I wouldn't know about the SR series, but the P series are definitely underrated. These were among the most affordables, but they were sure a lot of bang for the money.

Another handgun series that are underrated are the Walther P99 series. They are the first ones to come with the interchangeable backstrap features before most manufacturers today (Glock gen 4, HK P2K, P30 series, S&W M&P, SA XDm series, etc...), but I think they were not marketed very well by Interarms and by S&W.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

in my stable, its the xd9. you hear plenty about glock and M&P... xd9, not so much. but it has earned its spot comfortably in between my 1911's and CZ's.
