    Kahr MK9

Found an on-roster MK9 for what seems to be a reasonable price ($635). I have never held or shot one as they are not easy to come by. Does anyone want to talk me out of buying this thing sight-unseen? If enough of you vouch for it I'll pull the trigger this week.

Turners is taking deposits on PM9s but they want $699. If I can get an MK9 transfered for less I figure I might as well.

It will be used as a carry gun. When I lived in Pennsylvania I used my 4" XD 9 as my carry gun but always OWB. I want to go IWB nowadays & think the 3" sub-compacts may be the way to go.

    Thoughts?

Carried a k40 Elite 03 for several years. I'm on the lookout for an mk9. I'd grab it at that price in a heartbeat, especially if it's an elite.

      Excellent gun...

I have a Kahr MK9 that I bought slightly used about 7 years ago for $500, if I recall the price correctly. I have a Comp-Tac IWB holster for it, and have carried it once in awhile on trips out of state. I have fired about 500 rounds through the gun and it works perfectly, with a very smooth trigger feel and good sights. The weight of the all steel gun (about 24 ounces) handles the 9mm recoil quite well. It is small and thin, and conceals well IWB.

Not a big fan of buying sight unseen unless new. That said I share your fondness for the k9 series. Any leads on new ones in stock in SoCal?
