    SSE length question

    (b) The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to a
single-shot pistol with a barrel length of not less than six
inches and that has an overall length of at least 10 1/2 inches
when the handle, frame or receiver, and barrel are assembled.

If I am reading this right, then for an AR Pistol, does this mean that the overall length is with the buffer tube installed onto the pistol receiver, coupled with the upper? So would a 7.5 inch upper work?

      OP
Sorry for the above answer, some of us can be rude.
The answer is the length of the entire gun, not just the barrel.
      And welcome to Calguns.

Yeah, don't judge all Cal Gunners by edgerly's response.
