That is what I am saying. He got one heck of a deal. I wish I could run into deals like that.

You spend too much time on calguns and not enough time looking for deals I need a USP again eventually. I prefer them to all other polymer frame pistols I think.

When you DROS the guns, Doesn't the FBI check also include a check to see if the gun was stolen before the DROS comes back as ok? Before you sign the papers to start the 10 day wait?

Yeah I know... But this one time about 8 months ago I was at Discount Gun Mart in SD and this one girl went in there trying to sell a Beretta 92fs almost NIB that she claimed she had only shot 20 rounds through it and was moving to DC and needed to get rid of it. DCG was only offering her like 200 bucks for it, I came so close to stopping her as she was heading to her car and offering her more money but I did not, **** do I regret not approaching her

Here is the end to this saga, know that no one in the calguns community will ever run into this individual again, he has been arrested for attempted murder of his father. Good deal for the buyer of the HK before the guy did something stupid like he just did. Mike is a piece of work and will not see the green grass or light of day for quite a while except from behind bars or through chain link fences. He is done. Good deal on the HK and the last that will ever be had from that seller. Buyer did a good thing by getting this gun away from him and forcing him to do it legally. Had he had an accurate HK instead of what he did, who knows, may have been a much more serious charge.

I glad everything worked out ok buying a gun from a crazy man. A friend of mine bought a Porsche in a similar situation as with the nut you were dealing with. Very good price so he asked the DMV, and checked with the police about the car being stolen, was cleared by both departments. Two years later the cops came and took his Porsche becasue it was stolen but the record keepers screwed up. The record keepers are the very people he asked. Sounds like you will have better luck with your new pistol than he had with his car. Interesting gun purchase story.
