    Hate little tiny parts!

Replaced the rear sight blade on my S&W 28 with a while outline one, this thing has a little coil spring and a tiny metal plunger to act as a stop when you adjust the sight, that spring and plunger just about did me in, fat finger syndrome!
Got it changed finally, now off to the range to do a zero.
BTW I had to buy a new spring and plunger the old one was stacked in place.

I've got lots of tiny parts and springs scattered about the garage floor. Or maybe they landed on the rafters . I'm not really sure because I can't find the little bastards...

There is a very good reason gun smiths work on parts using a carpeted/toweled surface...to minimize the gunsmith crawl!

But is still happens...Monday on my bench, I was taking apart a Sig P290 due to light primer strikes. Well the FP block spring got away from me and was no where to be found. Frustrated that I can't find that sucka, I take a break...a day goes by and I am sitting on my chair at the bench looking for it with fresh eyes, and feel something poking my leg...sure enough, the end of that spring got wound into the chair fabric and was poking my leg...phew...no reordering a spring from Sig.

I suspect that when I pack up the garage to move, I'm gonna find all those little suckers that got away from me.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!
