    Glock 22 compensated?

So i've been searching endlessly and have come up with no hope. I am looking for a glock 22 compensated slide ONLY. I can find barrels all day long but no one sells the slides by themselves? Anyone know why or help me out. The only option is getting my standard slide cut but then I would have to retreat the exposed metal cuts and in the long run just costs about the same as buying a G22C new. I dont really want to buy a whole new gun as i just want the top half so i can bypass the whole paperwork thing. But it looks like I'm going to have to...anyone know where I can pick up a G22C slide or entire gun in Southern CA?

I was looking for a 17 slide and saw this. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=400483141
I think it is the same guy that had another new one a while back so he must have a good stock of them. You will be getting close to just being able to buy a new one but if 1/30 comes into play and you want it now it could be an option. Some people don't think the c model offers enough advantage in 9mm but I have a 19c and it is fun to shoot, I think a 22c would be a cool gun. Get an un ported barrel and you can change back and fourth quickly.
I don't remember the details but I think I recall a gun smith not cutting ports in factory glock barrels because it opens up imperfections in the metal so if you do consider going that direction you may want to check on that.

The G22C is not compensated, it is ported. There is a difference, the compensator screws onto the end of the barrel.

it is a weird item to search for... as who is going to sell just the slide from a G22?

If they don't want compensated, just change the barrel

What about a G35 slide? It has the lightening cut where one could place the ports...
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
          (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

The "c" stands for compensated. Its not a glock 22p.

Doesn't matter what Glock calls it, a ported barrel is not a compensator. Look a the difference

Barrel with EDM holes in it, called ported

Screw on end of muzzle device, with precision bore diameters and porting, called compensator
