P30 questions???

Im looking to buy a H&K p30 from my friend. He is active military, the gun has about 1300 down the pipe. My question is what is a fair price for said gun?
Also any pros and cons to these pistols? and lastly what should I specifically look for when looking this gun over?

i suggest to try shooting it and make sure you feel comfortable with it. this is one of my all time favorites and i just picked up a p30ls.

average market price is between 900-1200.

the ergo on this handgun and overall feel is amazing.

Like kirito said, make sure you shoot the P30 before you buy. HK's make some phenomenal guns, but the triggers aren't for everyone.

+1 for OC Armory... you're looking at a little over $1k out the door.

I'd also say that a fair price for a used one is probably $700-$800... closer to $800...

Also, same as everyone else has said, if possible, shoot it & make sure you're good with the trigger. I have the HK45, and wish the trigger was better.

Both do amazing work and I'd recommend it for some of their trigger jobs. Gray Guns currently has a 8 week waiting period though. The HK45 is supposed to have one of the best triggers already but if you want more improvement, I'd recommend one of these 2 smiths known for HK work.

The whole P30 "trigger thing" is very overblown---my P30S 9mm have a very decent DA and the SA is is fine (with a bit of take-up). The pistol shoots great---is lightweight for a service pistol---never fails to function with any ammo I've tried---the grip is one of the very best---etc, etc.
Not being on the "Safety List" means the gun is priced higher here in Kalifornia---I don't think you're gonna find a P30 in great condition for $800---more like $1000---just my opinion---good luck---buy it if you can...

yes I know about Gray Guns just have other priorities with the $400 it'll cost...maybe after I get my SCAR 17s, the upper for my MK12 Mod 0 build, and the DD MK 18 AR Pistol upper.

My Sig P220 Carry Elite SAO already had the /Gray Guns work done...night & day from stock.

I picked it up for 650. Great condition. The trigger pull is pretty much the same as my old ruger p85. I'll take it apart and polish the trigger assembly when I get the gun in 15 days.
