    Sig 224

Just curious if anyone knows a lgs or range in the south Bay Area that rents or sse the p224. Looking for a sub compact with the controls of my 226 and 229. Thanks

Tracy Rifle Pistol has the 224 in stock and does SSE.

Do some research on FTF and FTE on the 224

Can any current owners speak from experience on those issues? Is it ammo picky? Or is it a gun thing?

        Sig 224

        My 224 has been flawless

And carried in my Milt Sparks VM2 it all but disappears and it is extremely comfortable

Interesting option. Would like to check one out too before I get the 239

I've shot the 239 and like it but it is almost the same size as my 229 and if I'm wearing just a tshirt it shows a print of the grip when I carry. So I'm looking for an ok summer time carry gun that I'm familiar with the controls

Not anywhere close to the OP, but if anyone is looking for a P224 in S CA, OC Firearms will SSE the P224

Note that "In Stock" for the P224 probably means at the distributor, but they get it from their distributor fairly quickly (I think within a day or two).

              Located in Fountain Valley

              Edit:
Personally, I think the P224 is way overpriced, but if you're comfortable with the P229, the P224 is a natural choice for a smaller carry pistol. With the pending end of SSE, if you think you want one, you need to suck it up and get one now, or hope to find a used one for sale down the road.

Saw one at the Del Mar gun show. It's a very smooth operator, a fine gun. Wish I had $700 to drop on it.

I have a p224 and it is giving me feeding issues. Just got it for three weeks. Tried 4 different kind of ammo and all was the same. Just called Sig and returning it back to them to check it out. It was bad in the beginning but after so many rounds it got a little bit better but still having issues. Hopefully the issue will be resolved after it comes back from Sig

Just sent mine back to SIG today for the exact same reason. Its too bad that my 5th SIG had to tarnish the impeccable quality record of the others. That being said I will update once I get it back and take it out for a spin.

Anyone near Jackson Arms have a P224? If you do, I'll treat you to some range time if you wouldn't mind letting me fire a magazine or two through it.

Trying to decide if I can steer myself away from a G26 in order to have consistency in platform with my p226.
