    California off roster question

Noob here, with a noob question.

My apologies if this is posted in the incorrect forum.

Is it possible to buy an off-roster handgun which is already legally owned in California?

I'm interested in purchasing a Stoeger Cougar, and am thinking that the only way to do it would be from a private party through an FFL.

Put differently; If I had a Cougar to sell, could I sell one to another private party in Cali, using all legal methods of course.

    Thanks for any advice.

No different than any other legal PPT.

Right - PPT is exempt from the Roster.

Remember, as implemented in the DROS software, both participants must have California ID (or military ID with PCS orders).
