Ruger Mark II scope mount - which is better?

I have an old BSquare Mono Mount that I want to replace. For some reason, it just doesn't seem to hold and moves slightly in the receiver of my Ruger Mark II after repeated shooting. Strange that even due to the low recoil of a .22 it still moves no matter how tight I tighten the screws even with Locktite. Well it has served me well for over 10 years and thousands of rounds so time for a new mount.

I have a non tapped Mark II so I will need either the B-Square Universal Dovetail Mount or Weigand Ruger Mark II Scope Mount. They both cost about the same ~ $40. Can anyone tell which they prefer? Are there any other options that you can recommend?

    Thanks in advance.

I had the Weigand mount on my MKII and used it with my Ultradot without any problems. I used blue loctite on my screw without any issues. There's a mount out there that clamps to the rear of the upper barrel assembly, but I don't remember what it was called. You wouldnt have to drill and tap for that mount.

It was called SoLow. I don't think they're in business anymore, though. Had a 22/45 set up that way, but traded it to a friend. Great set-up.

I also have the Weigand mount as well on my new 22/45. Have a Millet red dot mounted on that one. A little higher and heavier than the SoLow set-up, but it works great nevertheless.

        3/3

Weigand, all the way. He's a nice guy, too.
