I've had this revolver for a little over 2 years and finally shot it more in DA than SA. I found the DA to be probably the smoothest pistol I've ever shot and maybe better than my Colts, which I think it's time to take it out to the range to see if it's true. Has anyone shot both in DA? What is the smoothest DA pistol you guys have shot? Would like to hear everyone's opinions. Didn't have to be just revolvers and can be semi-autos.

I have a limited amount of revolvers from the PC, Pro Series and Champion Series and other DA's as well. I would say that those tuned triggers are definitely very smooth and fun.

Very nice. I'm a big fan of the PC revolvers and pick them up as gifts for my son as soon as I see one he doesn't have. The triggers on them are amazing, and they shoot exceptionally. I'm currently looking for the new 929 PC 6.5", 460 XVR 3.5", and the 629 PC 8 3/8".
Here's the few he has.

OP, I have some classics, too, and as much as I like them, the DA on those PC revolvers is just better, imo. You have a fine gun btw!One Way to Post Pics ********** How to Submit an iTrader Rating That Counts ********** Brass for Sale

Your son is very lucky to have PC revolvers as gifts especially those! I hope your son realizes how lucky he is to have a father like you!Very nice. So basically you're comparing a DA trigger pull worked over by the Performance Center to a stock DA trigger pull on older models that hasn't been tuned?
Trigger jobs can be performed on any quality S&W or Colt to get fairly comparable results. For the record the best DA revolver pulls I've felt were on a tuned Python and a tuned N frame Model 29.Last edited by redcliff; 03-06-2014, 12:55 PM."You keep using that word. redcliff, you make a good point.
PC revolvers have triggers that are already tuned from factory.
I think the OP is making a comparison between "untouched" revolvers from factory, which is where my comment was coming from as well. One Way to Post Pics ********** How to Submit an iTrader Rating That Counts ********** Brass for Sale

Yes, i was referring to out of box DA trigger. I have tuned CZ triggers and they are crisp and smooth but just talking about untouched as you mentioned.sigpicComment

It helps that the 8 shooter only has to move the cylinder 1/8 turn vice 1/6 .
