    Ruger GP100 .357 Trigger Job

Does anyone have a recommendation for a Gunsmith that specializes in doing trigger jobs on the Ruger GP 100?

I love the gun, but the trigger needs some serious help!! I don't want to drop my gun off with just any Gunsmith, I want someone that is a pro at making the Ruger smooth as butter.

I live in the San Francisco North Bay Area.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

I had good luck with Baine and Davis in Alhambra.

Spend $10 on a spring kit and try the 8lb trigger and 10lb hammer springs. Easy to install and big difference. My single action pulls at 2.25lbs and 7.5 lbs da.

Careful with the spring kits- bought a Wilson for my SP101 and the trigger rebound spring would not fully return the trigger when done slowly. I took it out and clipped 1 1/2 coils from the stock spring. Its now lighter than stock but operates fine.

Your trigger return spring was likely too tight in the bore, or has a burr on it that was causing drag. Haven't had an issue with mine in thousands of rounds.

Of all my guns my GP-100 is my fav. My only question was who could do GOOD work on the trigger and was fairly local.

                  Thanks!
