Really like my Gen 2...and considering the serial number starts with CGN it fits in just right here.

Gonna have to go with the Gen2 crowd, but it is almost solely for aesthetic reasons.

            I have a Gen 1, G17; Gen 2 G17; Gen 3, G21SF; Gen3, G30SF.

I will not own a Gen 4 because I am a normal peon and cannot access them unless I pay an additional tariff for SSE.

            For me, the Gen matters.

I see adds for Glocks gen 2,3,4 I don't own a Glock but have shot them several times. I think their great guns and I'm looking to buy one. Does the gen really matter? Price difference can be $200.00 between gen's.

              Tanks,

Does it matter? To me absolutely! I've owned a dozen Glocks in Gen 2, 3, 4 and my preference is for the 4th Gen's made 2013 and up since they've fixed most of the problems that occurred between 2010-2012. The Gen 4's have the best ergonomics for me and tend to shoot more precise at 25 yards and beyond.

There are small differences between the various Gens, but something to consider is resale value. Newer gen 3s and 4s are more desirable and will sell for more.
