Range Report, gen 4 glock 19

so I took my brand new gen 4 glock 19 to the range today for the first time. 700 rounds of cheep tula/brassmax, and not one issue. that's right, tula, and not 1 failure to feed or eject. this little gun just became my favorite pistol.
not to take a dump on the m&p, but when I bought my m&p9, I had 3 failure to eject's in the first 250 rounds (rem. umc.), which is why im shocked, but then again its a glock .
    just thought id share that.

Well yeah... It's a Glock. And if people's guns can't handle Tula, it sucks for them.

Congrats OP. Any brass to the face?

When was the manufacture date base on the date stamped on the spent shell envelope? Thanks.

                CONGRATS !!!

let me start by saying i used to be anti glock. since 1982, i was never a fan (not that i was old enuff to own one, but i was well aware of them)

as i got older the idea of no safety sounded ludicrous, and once i had young children, it wasnt even an option

i was also anti 9mm, i only shot 9mm for the very first time in 1990 in the marine corps. the beretta 92

wasnt a fan, couldnt figure out why the best handgun ever created was ditched for this beretta, and we had to practice the "double tap" just for a casualty

                fast forward 20 years......

when i got my CPL, i got a glock 36, cuz it HAD to be 45 acp or nothing

it was too big to carry, but i came to respect glocks....my kids were not babies anymore, they KNEW if there was a handgun around...it WAS loaded

i have since decided, that not only 9mm is just fine for PD, that the glock 19 has actually edged out the 1911 for that title "best handgun ever made"

this is pretty grainy, but with a 33 round mag...i can empty it about as fast as i can squeeze and at 30 feet keep a 12" group

im about 5000 rounds in my gen 3, never a single hiccup and shoot MOSTLY wolf/tula since i shoot mostly outdoors at my cabin.

I am surprised the range allows you to shoot Tula since they collect the brass and sell it and they can't sell Tula. If you like to shoot 700 rounds in a sitting then you should seriously consider reloading. Then you could load your own JHP ammo for the same price as Tula......and it will be A LOT better quality.

                        Nice range report!!!

The wife has a Glock 19 Gen 4 in jail right now. We were both anti-Glock until we shot them. I (still cant) get past the grip angle and the Gen 3's have a gigantic grip for me & the wife. But, the RO at the local range we go to let us shoot one, the wife fell in LOVE!!! It was almost like purse-love or shoe-love, but worse. It was an itch she HAD to scratch. So, the following Monday, we headed to another local range to rent a G19 (Gen 3) and a XD-9 to compare with her Sig SP2022. She was sold. The G19 is the bees-knees!!!

On Tuesday, she called Tracy Rifle & Pistol and they had just sold two that day and no more for a few weeks. They suggested to call Elite Arms in Manteca. They had the LAST ONE and she paid for it in full. She went down on Wednesday to start paperwork. Will pick it up on 3/11.

OP-You know you're violating forum rule Sec 132.B? At the risk of being banned...

                        WHERE'S THE PICS????

And not just pretty pictures sitting in the box, but dirty nasty shot the crap out of the middle of the target pictures.

                        Happy shooting and be safe!!!

The Tula Brassmax is just that - brass casings not steel.
They had some stock at my local wal mart a few months ago that I picked up in 100 round cans for .22 cents/round and it shoots great in all of my pistols.

Gotcha. That's the price 9mm should be lol. I started reloading 9mm again because I refuse to pay .30 cents/round for 9mm.

I have many M&P's and many Glocks. In my case, my M&P's have been flawless and 2 of my Glocks have been problematic. But, I don't knock all Glocks for those 2. They are an exception to the rule, just like your M&P is an exception to the rule.
