So i have a problem with my GLOCK 42!

Picked it up and brought it home and i was checking it out getting ready to clean it and lube it and put it away when i noticed something a little different than my other 3 glocks. Called them and told them what i noticed and the employee and the owner both seemed very uneasy about the issue. Wanted me back ASAP but i couldnt make it back tonight and they wont be open again until Tuesday so the owner said please get here ASAP on tuesday. So what should i ask for when i get there? A box of free ammo? Keep in mind its a 20 minute drive back and lets face it, every has to pay for their mistake, lord knows i have most of the time lol its not hard to miss it in the photo....

The frame and the slide match but the barrel doesent. i asked him so who has my barrel and he goes i have it i have it lol

Definitely some free ammo man... You think maybe an extra glock clip?
That's pretty f$#ked on their part.

Oh wow. Must be an honest mistake given multiple SSE's happening for that model.

Maybe a box of ammo will do.

        Good luck!

If it's my favorite LGS I'd just asked them to stop by my house as early as they can Sunday morning because I want to take it to the range in the afternoon.

It's only 20 minutes and their mistake. ( My local guy would do that )

It probably just got mixed up during the SSE process. If it were me, I wouldn't make a big deal out of it (unless they don't actually have your barrel). Mistakes happen, and if you're cool about it, you may start or strengthen a relationship with that FFL. Over time, it will pay off & you will probably end up getting more than a box of ammo worth of stuff or services. If they offer something, by all means take it, but I wouldn't go in stomping my foot demanding a box of 380.

It could be a screw up from Glock and not your LGS. The LGS should have caught this error during the DROS process though.

Too many SSE barrels going at the same time, originals got mixed up?

Hey, I got your barrel! I just shot 3000 rounds through it and when I got home I polished it shiny like a mirror. I didn't notice, sorry!

They called me too, I'll drop it off Tuesday early morning. I will also give you a box of Tula .380, your barrel likes it.

They have to transcribe the serial number into the CADOJ system. Some LGS also asks buyer to verify the serial number before entering it.

The barrel is nowhere near the gun during the DROS period. They verify the serial on the frame.

The barrel they used to SSE it has no serial number on it.
